Looking ways to get in to airline this year
Been looking in these forums for a good few years., I'm trying to get into an airline at some point this year. I'm going to finish uni soon and looking to see if the market is still looking for a non-experience pilot. I got a good amount of FI hours and I got a UK and EASA license with the standard fATPL rating, and MCC and UPRT. I want to know what are the options at the moment. It seems to be Ryanair and Wizz and possibly with a private jet company. Is there any other airline that is viable? the 30k for TR is a bit rough to swallow. My degree will allow me to work in an industry that has a starting salary of 30k ish British pounds. I find it a bit shocking outside of airline companies that they will fork out money to train people. BTW I live in the UK but can work in HK.

Or just pay Ryanair 30K for the rating. You’ve already got the fATPL which is the expensive bit 30k is a lot but it’s in the realms of money that you can just borrow.

Add to the list WAUK, Blue Islands, Aurigny, DHL… all bond for TRs and take/have taken cadets.
Trojan horse it. I would apply for cadet roles with everyone who takes cadets. Then I would sanitise my CV and apply for non-flying jobs with everyone who takes cadets (You still need a job right? Might as well put that degree to good use). You'll have lost nothing, gained a job with an airline staff number and airline name for your CV. If one of the other jobs works out, great. If not you'll stand a decent chance of getting onto the cadet scheme from within.

in a similar situation but have an EASA licence and UK passport, sadly failed ryan air assesment thus looking at other airlines but so far no joy ie wiz is not recruiting until 2025

Last week some collegues of mine got their pilot assessment appointment email from Wizz, not sure how long is their backlog but it seems they are sending to alot of people

. If you are willing to be available a lot, you make your 500 hours as a cruiser in about a year, and then have the chance to upgrade to normal FO on the Mighty Queen of the skies .Check confair.eu. That is one of the agencies who does do the outsourcing and payroll.

Check Air Atlanta for the Cruise Relief FO Position . If you are willing to be available a lot, you make your 500 hours as a cruiser in about a year, and then have the chance to upgrade to normal FO on the Mighty Queen of the skies .

Loganair are hiring, or were until very recently (people still leaving that need to be replaced, etc). Bonded TR (£18k). Think you might need 500hrs TT but they love ex-instructors. If onto the ATR it’s some of the most challenging flying one can do in the UK. Good luck.
