West Atlantic Non Type Rated First Officer
I interviewed there for an operations role. Was told I would have a decision in 7 days. They ghosted me for weeks then rang and said they gave it to someone else but they had a different role they wanted me to interview for. Said they would get back in touch to schedule a time. I never heard from them again.

Don't join! People leaving in droves. Terrible level of moral.
Chief Pilot "TH" woefully inept clinging on to his job, and "SW" in HR is doing everything to prevent people from moving on.
Together they are trying everything to prevent leaving pilots going to other airlines - sabotage and financial threats aplenty. Zero decorum. Currently a few pilots in battle with company as TH and SW work together in harming others future prospects.
Airline totally under crewed, will not complete all flights in February. Goodbye RM contract!

Don’t listen to this idiot. It’s always a first time poster slandering individuals. Never the guts to communicate directly.
Its not the airline it once was, I can’t deny that. Adapting to stay in the game will change how a place feels. There is ongoing recruitment, contracts in place for years, week on week off roster, a great flight ops team and we aren’t on the breadline.
This week I’ve been doing 10 hour deep nights between Paris and BFS - next working week 5x4 hour duties between EDI and EMA, with 20 hours in a spa hotel each day. It’s not all misery, but the disgruntled will always have a louder voice.
Don’t be put off by delayed responses, the turnover has been high recently, the small HR team are working as best they can.
Good luck to all that apply.👍🏼
ees

Where to start.
To keep it short, since he arrived in smartlynx, replacing a previous alcohol addicted VP Operation, he started to show signs of a borderline behaviour.
He was talking to the crew dispatch, planning and occ and boldly instructing them not to “let the pilot put you in a corner”…so in effect creating a toxic environment where flight crew and office staff where in a sort of Cold War.
He then instructed crew dispatch, travel and planning to record every phone call and in case of alleged “pilot abuse” to send the registration to the Chief Pilot ….( the same chief pilot had enough of this muppet and resigned). After this event, the new Chief pilot chosen was ( and still is) just another useless yesman.
He did instruct the previous planning director (another incompetent manager, now she is making noise in Xfly in Tallinn) to punish all the pilots that refused to be rostered in Nigeria, to cancel their roster, to assign them an indefinite unpaid leave until they changed their mind.
Following the Lithuanian Aviasolution disease instructions he spoiled and ruined the existing terms and conditions creating the conditions for a miserable life for pilots. Many left.
Few pilots were fired with no reason or explanation only because he didn’t like them.
I could keep going but it’s a boring story. I think you got the idea.
The day he left many parties around bases.
Good luck.
