It doesn’t actually say that you need an EU passport it is just that you are eligible to live and work permanently in the EU and have an up-to-date unrestricted worldwide passport.

i have copied the criteria below:

Essential criteria for application

  • Able to pass an airport security vetting procedure, including a five-year background check*
  • Two verifiable references
  • Able to obtain an EASA / IAA issued Class 1 Medical, including successfully passing a colour blindness test. Please refer to www.iaa.ie prior to application to ensure you can meet all medical requirements in line with eyesight/colour blindness limitations
*If you are a not an Irish citizen, you will require a current police disclosure certificate from your home country if successful

*If you have resided outside the Republic of Ireland for six months or more, you will also require a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries

I wonder what the situation will be for UK applicants post-Brexit. We'd still be able to live/work in Ireland under the CTA, unless something else would stop us.

I should think UK citizens should be fine post-Brexit. The CTA preceded Ireland's joining of the EU and EI has no non-Irish bases.

I suspect there would be some flexibility there, but it still remains to be seen what the form Brexit will take so who knows.

Hi all,

Good information on this thread. Good luck to everyone that has applied.

Please could I ask can anyone remember the specific video interview questions? This is for my own personal interest of how each airline conducts their interviews. I havent applied to this programme but am researching the wider selection process.

Thankyou.

Basic HR-style questions like "why did you apply", "what are your career ambitions" and "tell us about a challenging situation you faced" etc...

Nearly a month since the deadline for assessments. Will the lucky candidates get a phone or email as an invitation for the next round? (based on previous years)

Cheers, JM.

Sound about right!

Looking like it'll be another week before the calls go out...
