Greetings !
I'm thinking of applying to the scheme, but I'm interested in what exactly do you need to upload before submitting the application?
On the website, it says "Attach your CVs and covering letters in Microsoft Word, RTF or Adobe PDF formats.".
Do you only need to attach your CV and cover letter, or some proof of education (translated of course) ? Or do you need to upload these at a later time during another stage of the selection process?

Interesting that they require the right to live and work in the EU, depending on how EU exit negotiations go that will effect UK potential cadets in the not too distant future. Nice one Brexit!!!!!
Though if they start training in 2017, by the time the cadets have completed all FTE training and A320 TR then that will be late 2018/ early 2019 which will be round about the time that UK leaves EU so maybe UK nationals applying for the cadetship now might be at a disadvantage even though they currently have the right to live and work within EU, especially as there will be hundreds of applications from EU nationals from countries that have not indicated a desire to leave EU.

Good scheme from Aer lingus.
Just wondering where British nationals stand with regards to the requirements .Will Gcse and A levels results suffice in place of the leaving certificates from Ireland?

That is great .I will give it a shot .
I suspect the successful candidates will be asked to part fund the training ,and possibly have this repaid to them during employment .
Another point is you will be paid an allowance during training .

I agree, although Aer Lingus had a very heavy presence and involvement from day 1 of selection last year (from what I seen). With Aer Lingus staff available for questions, and they sat in on the interview. I assume this was probably to learn and get a feel for how it is ran efficiently, and now its back to Aer Lingus to choose their own.
What is noticeable, is that they have set out the dates for interview, which is only 5 days! They're giving themselves plenty of time from application close to the first assessment centre (near enough 2 months). At that, considering the assessment centre is only 5 days this time as opposed to 10 last year; you're looking about 80 candidates at this stage (opposed to the 160 last year). Its going to be a toughie to get through to; likely going to be on the merit of CV and online test scores.

Hello all! I had heard at one time that there was a limit to the number of times you could apply to this program if unsuccessful in previous years, but never heard any verification. Is this true? Thanks in advance

I suppose that's the logic behind it; as well as the fact that each time going through the process makes you better and more informed of what they're looking for. Its only natural to improve the more times you do it.

Hi, a couple of quick questions, the Aer Lingus website states you must be 18 on or before January 1st 2016, however from memory wasn't that the same as last year? I was only 18 in February 2016 which means i cannot apply unless this is an error as it hasnt been changed? Secondly do the grades only have to be proven at the interviews in September as I don't get my results until August. Any help would be much appreciated. I emailed them but i only got a quote from the website. Thanks
