It seems like most people get through on their second or third go.

Yes, I have yet to speak to or meet someone who got through on their first try. Does anyone know anyone who did?

I know quite a few that got through first time, some of them still use this forum on occasion.

All of the 90 (or so) that were successful the first time the scheme was offered got through on their first attempt!

But I completely agree with what others have said, once you know what the process involves you stand a much better chance of nailing it and getting through on your 2nd or 3rd attempt

He is an inspiration but there are many ways of skinning a cat. We build by breaking so who knows it might be third time lucky for you and others. Never ever take a no for an answer in these assessments

G-FORC3 will be feeling smug reading that . Exactly, never give up until you know you are out of contention. Down but not out!

Out of interest is each attempt treated completely as new? For example if you applied previously and did particularly well or badly, is this on a record or is it a clean slate each time?

It is indeed. This is my second attempt and I was told at my FTO selection day that this was a clean slate.

That's good to hear.

Does the first assessment have anything on the second when it comes to reviewing candidates after the second assessment? I've wondered if, say there are two candidates at the second stage who have performed extremely well, would they then look back at the FTO assessment performance?

LandingConfig,

From my understanding, everybody who passes all elements of the testing at Waterside gets invited to interview. At final interview, the assessors are able to see your scores and answers from the FTO assessment, and will consider both FTO and Wateside performance into the final decision.

So in summary, I don't think FTO performance is looked back on after stage 2, but it is during and after stage 3.

Each attempt is a clean slate. However, they may ask you at the interview why you think you didn't make it the last time you applied.

Hi there guys....
First time applier here, have got through to the last stage. I must say i have been impressed by how slick BA have been through out the process, went to an assessment centre last week and 2 hours after finishing they had sent me an email. Does getting to the last stage mean that i will just be judged on just the interview or do they then look back at all my results (with the possibility of them rejecting me at this stage because of test results)?

Thank you and good luck everyone...

Congratulations to everyone invited to the final interview, and commiserations to those that were not

I was one of the lucky ones and I've booked the 13th.

Does anyone have any idea of how many have been invited to this final stage ?

Well done for getting this far in the process! Regarding your question, it will largely depend on how many people were invited to stage 4, but if 100 or less made it to this phase, then it will come down to how well the interview goes.
