Cathay cadet scheme has changed. For non HK residents you need a CPL and 250hrs TT.

For HK residents you, can apply with zero hours.

Bearcat you can apply by visiting the following link :

Cathay Pacific - Careers : Careers Home

Click on the relevant link (less than 1500hrs) and it will take you directly to the application page.

Best of luck with it all

For those that are interested;

I've Just spoken to Javier at BBVA UK.

BBVA may offer a pilot training loan to fund course fees IF you have passed the assessment tests for CTC, OAA or FTE.

Course fees for PTC (and other providers) will not be funded.

All secured against a UK or Spanish property. It's no good just having the property to secure it either, you need a guarantor(s) who meet a minimum criteria that BBVA set out.

Prestonpilot

I was asking specifically in relation to the FlyBe/PTC mentored scheme.

The loans they offer are indeed secured, but only available to students of the three providers listed previously.

Well then it looks like I don't have any options then. I can't see why they would say that, if it's secured and it's for an actual scheme. Doesn't make any sense.

Are there any other options?

I will go to the meeting with Barcleys anyway
When asking for money, don't you think that taking the trouble to get the name of your prospective lender right might be a shrewd move?
