A Loran C should be enough

Just a bit of humour

Have a look at the JAR OPS 1.865/870 and the ICAO Doc 7030. You might find what you need in there! G...gle should be your friend in this case.

... they ask THAT in a Ryanair interview?

(answer is, a set of IRS's with at least RNP-10 capability, I think. But I'm not sure).

Absolutely no initiative, big gaps in knowledge and rhyming off questions like a primary school pupil after lunch time.. Perfect candidate I'd have thought Luke.

IRS IS NOT a navigation AID but is an aircraft's equipment. A GPS would be a navigation AID to cross the Atlantique....

A bubble sextant attached to a licenced navigator. Then it's his worry.

Two, independent GNSS (GPS), RNP 10 or better, receivers in addition to all the ground based nav instruments usually required. I'm pretty sure, anyway.

A navigator and a compass used to be more than adequate

Navigation

Technically the answer is none. As it is MNPS airspace.
The question should be what Navigation systems does an aircraft require.
