This is nearly £30,000 cheaper than the easyJet MPL. And, you should get a full time job at the end, with salary, pension etc. Granted the type rating is not as marketable as an A320 but WX looks a good place to stay.
I'm sure it will be extremely competitive - good luck all!

Yes it does have the usual caveat about no job guarantee. Does anyone know how previous FTE schemes have faired? Did the cadets get taken on? I did read somewhere that CityJet did not take on a batch of Wings cadets on a previous scheme.

I imagine Cityjet treat their cadets very well
Like any job in the world, nothing is guaranteed, but as far as a guarantee of a job goes - this one is pretty iron clad. Complain not about "possibly not having a job" that you do not have currently anyway.
Yes you might start with a TR on a 146/RJ, but they won't be around for ever and soon enough a fleet of Embraers will be appearing.
I believe the recruitment drive is due to the holding pool drying up

Is anyone on here off to Dublin for the selection tests/interview then? Bit of a logistical nightmare getting there if you are not from Ireland!
I was also wondering if anyone had any inclination as to what aircraft cadets would start on? I know it will obviously be subject to their requirements at the time but in general would it be common place for cadets to be put in the Fokkers rather than the 146?

I think the intention is for placement on the RJ from DUB or LCY. Does anyone know if LCY is easy to get based at or is there an internal waitlist for LCY within CityJet?
Many thanks

I have also been invited to interview on the 3rd. As I understand it is indeed on the RJs out of LCY or DUB but could be a new jet fleet by the time we would complete our training - who knows!

Hi Thomas! Me and kingofkabul have both been invited for the 1st so they are obviously staggering the assessments which is interesting; they must have had a lot of applicants!

I'll be heading down on the 2nd. Also got an email today asking for a CV? Bit of an unusual step at this stage.
Prepare answers to questions like "what makes you angry" and "tell me of a time where you were angry or frustrated and used that anger/frustration towards something positive...?"
Stuff like that.

Has anyone been to an FTE selection day before, for example their Flybe one? I am still slightly unsure of what to expect so it would be great if anyone could share their experiences.
- In terms of the maths/physics we are given a 'revision guide' but it clearly states that we should do further study before the assessment and not simply just use the guide. Does anyone have any ideas of specific areas we should be looking at?
- Will the interview be conducted by FTE for this stage or CityJet?
- Any other useful information?
