FAA --> JAA ATPL WITHOUT exams
I know there is a way to convert from FAA to JAA ATPL without taking all the exams, IF one has enough total flight time in a big enough aircraft.
Does anyone have a clear, and accurate idea of how much total time is required, and what size aircraft (is a 737 big enough?)
Please let me know.
I'd be interested to know how hard it would be to get this done provided I had enough total time/PIC time.
Thanks.

http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/srg_lt...ection%20G.pdf
Read section G1.5 Note 2
Says 3000 hours on A/C over 30,000KGS, to include 1500 PIC

the only issue is that, according to those regs, to get a FULL JAA license, I still need to pass all 14 exams.....
This would work for UK registered A/C only unfortunately.
Thanks for the actual wording!

Just looking into it myself and sure enough there is no way around the 14 exams if you want a UK JAA ATPL that is valid throughout the members states soon of course to be an EASA ATPL.
