Believe me it's less annoying not being able to apply because you don't speak the language than being Portuguese and not being able to apply because they changed the requirements last minute and you don't have enough hours . That sucks big time.

Oh well, maybe next time.

Muito Obrigado Rui. I would love an interview with TAP and have almost 1000 hours and speak Portuguese to an intermediate level, definitely not good enough to get through and interview at the moment but could learn a lot by studying (I speak spanish fluently). Do you think it is worth applying with less than 1000 hours? Or should I just wait the 3/4 months it will take me to obtain the 1000 hours?

No, they don't let you apply without the minimums. You must wait for the next time.
