ATPL conversion
Hi all,
I would like to ask you all professional pilots a common question, when people say convert your licence, for example from CASA to JAA, does that mean you will lose your licence privilege in australia?
and tell me more about licence conversion and ATPL conversion please if you could.
thank you in advance

Not at all. You can keep both licenses and privileges however you will need to keep each license current by test or experience separately.
Different authorities have different requirements for ATPL including taking all required theory plus experience (eg. 1500hours total, 500multi pilot time etc etc).
Best off checking with the authrority you wish to gain ATPL with be it CASA or CAA for ATPL requirements. Its all on their websites.
