Any job related to aviation

Hello everyone,

I am a Indian pilot with both an Indian DGCA and FAA license. I tried searching for posts similar to the one I'm going to type but I couldn't find any. I might have missed it, if there are any on PPRuNe. I'm sorry for that. As we all know right now that the aviation industry is doing extremely bad right now and to find a job without having to pay for your type rating is way beyond impossible. Even if I get offered a job and am I asked to pay for my TR, I wouldn't for the first and most simplest reason being I can't afford to do so and another reason being I would feel bad for giving in to the pressure and not making an effort to wait and work harder to find the right one.

The reason for my post being, I'm a high school graduate. I went to flight school straight out of high school, during the boom period in the industry. Sadly, it did not last, and here I am stuck without a job! I did not want to become a pilot ever since I was born or started talking or whatever it may be. I ended up devolping an interest over the last few years of my school and decided I should go for it, with the industry doing well and the pay scales in India for pilots at the time were applaudable! So, I want to know, if there are any jobs in India or infact anywhere in the world [if they are willing to pay for my flight ticket and stay ] where I can maybe work at a ground job or anything related to aviation, atleast something for me to put on my resume to make it look a little stronger. I really wouldn't mind any job, the lowest pay would do or even maybe if I'm not getting payed, should not actually be a problem. At least, until I get the big ticket into an airline, charter or anything that will have be sitting on the right seat, flying a plane!

If I've written anything irrelevant above, I'm sorry for wasting your time. Thank you

Cheers
TNT

You got the right attitude. All I gotta say is give up on the TR and don't set your crosshairs on the airlines. Be flexible. Talk to as many people as you know and meet everyone you can. Get yourself out on the road and beat the ramp. If you can find a job anywhere, even instructing somewhere, do it. At least that way you will be building time and making a name for yourself. The bottom sucks... you're gonna be poor, tired, abused, and eventually burnt out. But you'll end up with contacts, ratings, and hours. At least enought to upgrade to a freight job or entry-level corporate gig or something and then you can worry about upgrading and working your way up. Don't worry about the airlines not hiring there is a lot more out there. Those guys are mostly whiners anyway
