Those people that got called to the first stage; it was a matter of meeting age requirements, and I believe not having a CPL (as that would be too much experience).

For the waiting list that you mention of, and for making it to second round, it is simply from test scores. No CV, no age, nothing else ( I believe that is what the captain told us). Simply top 10% of the test takers. I think the captain said something like 1/10 people will make it to second round.

As for Europe having an advantage, they never did. It was always a level playing field. It's just Etihad needed 9 to start for Nov, Europe was lucky to have the first assessments, as most of the applications and candidates were from Europe. I would assume that just to make it fair, they might take 9 less from Europe for next years start, but then I could be wrong.

Cheers

Does anyone know what GCAA training to a Frozen ATPL consists of? Or is it JAA training to an ATPL? I'm confused

Hey assuming you were in the EU cohort too?

If you have been invited to go in August check your emails as an invite was sent out in the last couple days to the rescheduled pahse2/3.

If you are planning on attending in November you have to wait for America, Sydney & Rest of world results to arrive in before they start sending out invites.

Good Luck!

Hello guys!

Reading the last few posts I had the bad feeling that maybe I have no chances...

I just wanted to ask you several (actually 2 things).

1st: Does GCAA is ICAO recognized?
2d. What does it mean:

The company shall be entitled to recover from the cadet on demand the sponsorship cost on a pro rata basis (i.e in proportion to the sponsorship cost incurred by the company to sponsor participation in the programme). If, prior to the successful completion of the programme the cadet:

-is for any reason expelled or prohibited from continuing the training and/or fails to complete the training within the period specified;

And for last, I will try to apply- whatever happends-happends.

If it wasn't menf for me I will continue with my CPL here in Bulgaria.

Warm regards and лека вечер!

Thats so cool how you switched from english to ...bulgarian? Did you have to use a separate keyboard?

It means that if you ail the course you have topay Etihad the money it used to train you back

лека вечер!

Bulgarian, yes.

If you want me I can use spanish (a bit french and a very few words in arabic).

Ana I use the same keyboard.

I got your point, DenizD, but my consern is what is this any reason.

Does it mean that if some of the instructors doesn't like the way I look I have to pay half milion Dhs? :-/

And лека вечер (pronounced: leka vecher) has the meaning of " nice evening ".

Your thoughts about is there any chances for me?
