@ asmirc

Thank You asmirc...this was my plan B...go to flight training from my pocket in March (plan C is ready too)...BTW I'm not a UAE National...so, I'll be competing with you... next year (if I was invited)

If & only if I couldn't make it through EY cadet pilot assessments...I will join EY as an experienced pilot in 6 to 7 years of airline work (at least 5000 hours of flight time) say in 2016 .

DenizD...I think we might be in the same group since AD assessments are in Jul & US are in Aug...hope I get to see you...

Good Luck for all of Us...

Yeh...I Received the good news about you all (phase 2 attenders)...sorry for S & J...I would really like to see them back here.

Martin2kn4, we will have more fun now...I bought a new Safari car & waiting to welcome you (& Fred...all of you) in it, but I will be going to Ras Al Khaimah for the Flight training in March 09 (3 hours away from Al Ain)...not a problem @ weekends...as you & our other friends will be free (@ weekends) to go to alots of places (away from Abu Dhabi this time).

Hope the best for You & to the other candidates that made it through to Phase 3 & so sorry for not being with you in the 2008 batch.

malirm,

You just asked the right question.

I was thinking about the same thing. What to do while waiting for reply from EY?

That's a difficult question especially when I have my PPL. I can make 50 hours flight time more but then I will have to start the IR, so if by that time nobody calls I will continue here.

P.S. I sent my application like 3 weeks ago and still no answer do they have it or not...

Regards!

@ airmanbag

I have alots of choices here...& thats making me crazy:

1. Continue the Top Up Year (after getting the Higher National Diploma) & get a BEng in Aerospace Technology [by 2010] then go to flight training (but miss the flight school scholarship) & if EY calls in between...I'll get the chance to join.

2. Get the College Diploma by Feb 09 then go to flight training @ DAE FA (scholarship would be still valid).

3. Get the Diploma then go for aircraft maintenance licensing (JAA part 66) then go for flight training....

etc....

So...I'm still thinking about it...what do you say...anybody

Hi again, mate!

I can't give you addvice because I'm seond year in the university and I like the speciality too much (Information Security).

The point is that if I continue here with my CPL, most probably I will start work by the summer next year ('09) which will be difficult to combine with the university.

What I decided for now is: I will make these 50h more, by that time I will wait for EY. If they call - I will try
If they don't I'll continue here with my CPL.

Regards!

Talking Sydney assessment results are out

I've been floating around these forums for awhile, with no reason to post anything until today. Sydney assessment results came out at today. Mine says:

"At this point, we are happy to inform you that you were successful in the first phase and you are now under consideration for the second phase of screening. This will take place in Abu Dhabi sometime in late November. If selected, you will be advised of the exact dates and will be required to be here for four days."

So, hooray!

How did everyone else go?

In the Sydney assessment, we were told the exact dates for the second phase assessment. Does anyone remember the date mentioned?
