Ryan Air cadet employment

Hi guys do you know if there is any age limit to join the company and starting to do (paying) their TR on the 737? I mean there is chances for someone who is 36/37 years old with an ATPL frozen to pass their assesment day? Basically will I be to old to be considered as cadet from them when I will finish my trainig? as it seems to be the only choice to start this career at my age.
Thanks
Andy

Help!!!

I am sorry maeshyfryd, because I understand that for someone who finishes his training, FR would be maybe the first choice to look at, but dont be so negative, for example two my friends last year applied, one got in the other one got in PEGASUS airline still goog for starting and anyway its still a 737/800.
I am 33 and after working myself in FR as cabin attendant and Alitalia I decided to take the risk and I am thinking to go to USA and do the atpl integrated course at the end of it my target would be ryanair, but my big concern its still the age, I mean I will be probably 36 by the time I will probably be ready and I keep asking myself if there will be still a chance for me... You maeshyfryd what would you suggest me as I could be in the same situation as you?

Anyway try: Pegasus and Skyeurope both 737/800 a girl that I know just got in Skyeurope.

I am thinking to go to USA and do the atpl integrated course
Which school would that be at then? Only 4 ukcaa approved integrated course providers:

1) OAA
2) Cabair
3) FTE
4) WAAC

Check out this document

Thumbs up

andrea i would suggest that you do a thorough search in the other wannabe forum. The schools you mentioned have quite long and detailed threads associated with them.

TBH the school will say anything to you so they can take your money, all i know is when i was doing my research everybody said to me that i should stay away from the US and go integrated if possible....

good luck.

maeshyfryd- Many airlines do not give you feedback (BA..etc) and your sim may have been great but that doesnt mean that you are someone they could see fitting in or having the potential for command - no offence intended.
I know many people who had aweful assesments yet passed and some who, like you, had a great assesment and did not get in.

I'm 37 and also didn't get in! I felt my interview was solid and so too the sim ride. I guess when the instructor is on his mobile phone half way through the detail then that tells you everything you need to know!

My humble theory !

Older guys have more life experience and less likely to tolerate being treated poorly by an employer. More likely to point out things which are not fair / reasonable etc etc - some may also say find it harder to pass a TR.

Younger guys tolerate being treated poorly and working for a company that treats you as another way to save money / aka make more profit. May put up more with financial hardships etc etc etc.

I have much more aviation and real world/management experience than a 21 year old so I suspect unsuitable for command was not the reason for not getting the job!

(Would have taken the job had I got it but only because it was a job!!)

age discrimination etc

Well it may be illegal in the EU, but it still goes on !!!! a mate of mine who is 42, was told officially there is no age limit for FR, unofficially 42 is the max they would look at,, but they will still take yr money for the selection, draw yr own conclusions !!!

Hopefully Buying a Job!

How very true dougy24! I have to say, as much as I'd like to fly a 737, my money has remained firmly in my back pocket. After all, have any of you ever heard of somebody paying for an interview or assessment in any other industry? So why pay Ryan Air? Sounds like a con to keep the sim costs down.........did I say that?

How about starting a head count to see how many pilots have paid to attend interview/sim assessment, and didn't even get a sniff of a job?
