Surely it would make sense to lose the £3K deposit and save yourself £70K-£80K on training and accommodation costs with a garuanteed job at the end of it...right?

My status is still displays "Applied" and I submitted my application in mid April.

E-mail basically goes:

Dear Mr heli_port, thank you for applying for the bla blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Your app has progressed to the blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah we shall be contact soon to arrange a suitable time for an interview and assessment blah blah blah blah..

Keep an eye on your e-mails people..

Cool. Presumably they started advertising in mid March which means that I may still have another month to wait.

heli_port...what does your status show now?

Just wondering...do they ONLY look at your CV as a criteria for selection and progression to stage 2?

I'm just trying to figure out how they would differentiate between each candidate...is it purely based on a single CV?

CC i only uploaded my CV even though i hold a class 1 medical. Also i applied for the sake of applying as i am not within their specified age range (little older)

The status is still showing as applied, when it changes will let you know. I sent an e-mail back to etihad asking what the assessment consisted off and they have come back and said, maths, physics, interview, verbal reasoning etc. Once they have informed all the applicants they want to take forward to stage 2 they will let me have further details.

I'll give it a shot...

hmmmm...thats weird...I would have thought that your status would have been "Under Review" or something else as per posts on other threads.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I think I'll just wait until some thing comes through.

i received the same e-mail as you did hani i however sent another e-mail asking them some questions and yes it was to the e-mail address you specified.

My sentiments exactly. TBH i couldn't care less if i got in or not at the moment. I will attend stage 2 and see what happens. If it works great if not well i'm of to OAA..

Heli port both emails u have written in ur post are same and as you told us that assesment will be based on maths physics questions but i have heard from some one that questions will come from jepessen books!

If you look closely at the second part of the email you will notice that you spelt "airways" incorrectly as "ariways". Not sure if this is a typo in the post.

But all that doesn't matter because I did email etihad (with the correct spelling of the email address as per previous post) and I received a "Notification Failure" message meaning that the email address is obsolete.

If you read the earlier posts in this thread you would have noticed that the alternative email address is [email protected]

But I didn't receive a reply from them and that was about a month ago.

Heli, ur the 2nd person claiming to have recieved some sort of email from etihad saying you got accepted...Phase 2? Where/When the hell was phase 1?

Yet you and the other person dont want to copy/paste anything.

I didnt even recieve an email when I 1st applied other than the auto generated email which is under the "My Messages" on the etihad website.

We need EYZ to settle this

Anyone reckon there's a significant reason that I'm not able to view my application any more on the my workspace page? My status still reads as "Applied" though. I'm just scrabbling for a bit of hope I guess...
