Guys, I have it on very good authority that the yes letters were sent out by the Capt who carrys out the selection but any other correspondence is down to FTE.

sorry to hear that guys. On the bright side, at least you know what to expect now, whether you apply to another Flybe scheme or gto straight to FTE, or even an airline interview. Make the experience into a positive one.

Ahh... got my email of rejection too , second one but this time an offer for feedback... I dont know if this is a positive thing or not? Anyone else tried more than once and been offered feedback on the second attempt?

Ahh well, best get improving on my maths methinks.

Good luck to the rest of you

Bad luck Ian, but give them a call and get that feedback - can't be a bad thing. From what I was told at the stage 3 I did with FTE recently I think they'll either tell you what you failed on (meaning you may be able to work on it) or be telling you that you were actually good enough to train at FTE but just didn't make the competition grade for Flybe themselves in this instance. Either way; worthwhile

Yeah definately get that feedback. If you know which part wasn't your strongest then you cant work on that so that next time you apply you can improve on your previous scores.

It's a bit late but CONGRATS Stu on passing stage three, sorry to hear Ian didn't get through, I too got the dreaded best wishes email. As for the feedback I was not offered any but would love to know what went wrong.

Ian would you mind sharing some general feedback if you do decide to make that call.

PS.

I am aware that it will be tailored to you but I think it could help the unfortunate ones (i.e. me) to understand a bit more about the selection process.

Double checked the email, it does say no individual feedback can be given. Maybe they will offer you (newbie) and Ian the chance for a non tagged position, who knows but fingers crossed.

Hi Tai - Sure, I dont mind sharing what happened in the feedback.

Basically I got a call which told me everything about what happened. The person I spoke to was really really helpful and encouraging and he basically went through each individual test, told me my score and told me if this was good or not. Apparently I scored high band in everything apart from the Numeracy - so that's where I fell.

But it was useful because he has now pointed me in the right direction and told me to train myself up and re-apply as apparently I have a "very good base for selection" providing I pick up my maths.

So good news really

Just keep trying Tai, this was my second testing with Flybe and I got rejected at the same point each time (so no doubt it was my maths the 1st time too, only the second time I did better in all the other tests so they decided to give me a call to give me that extra push).

I've also done a CTC selection process and got rejected so just keep trying. I know of a friends brother who tried 6 times with CTC, ended up costing him over £2000 to get to all the interviews and he eventually got it on the 6th attempt!

Time to go back to school for me now though to push me into the "come back for stage 4" pool!!

Good luck!!
