Best ask in the wannabee's section. Lots of info there. Personally if you want something i wouldn't give up, I know a few older individuals who are training and they love it!

I must be missing something
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out I am!
But, unless this topic has been moved, and it doesn't say it has, then it is in the wanabees forums. I noticed someone else in here being told they should post in the wanabees forums.
I thought the I, J and S one and the one above who's name I forget, both are for wanabees, no?

Question is about Sponsorship, therefore it belongs here, no?
c144, I'm about to turn 27 myself and have been training part-time for about 4 months now - just about finished my PPL. Unfortunately, there is a distinct lack of sponsorships available, and most of those that are available are only part-sponsorships. In reality, if you do wish to become a commercial pilot, it will involve a significant investment of time and money on your part, sponsored or not.
Have a look at the FlyBE sponsorship thread - if you're concerned about your age being an issue, I pointed out in that thread that the max age for application there went from 27 last year to 33 this year, so from that perspective, all is not lost.
However, as I said, be prepared to finance your training yourself for the most part.
Best of luck either way.

C144, would you be satisfied with investing about ten years and a lot of cash and then becoming a commercial pilot? Then go for it.
Or, if you only want to take the chance provided it only takes three years give or take, then I would recommend to try the sponsorship deals. There are a couple of them out there but they are not to be considered as an easy way into aviation. You will be evaluated, screened, scanned and x-rayed through the whole process. If I was you, I would try the latter, considering your age.
