Hi there,
This is my first post as i only joined about 1 minute ago but i just wanted to ask you knowledgeable people for some advice:
I am desperate to become a commercial pilot and am about to try and acheive that aim. I am trying to work out where would be the best place to study. The costs are going to obviously be horrendous wherever i study so i'm not initially planning to base my decision on that factor. I really want to know which training facilities will provide me with not only the best education but more importantly will make me very desireable to the airlines. I've heard that Cabair is well regarded, apparently a training college in Oxford is also thought of well, and apparently there is somewhere in Jerez?
If you kind people could provide me with some informed advice that would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Al,
Well, first you have to decide whether you want to train via the integrated or the modular route. This is a frequently debated topic and you should be able to read all about it if you search along the lines of "Integrated vs Modular".
The place in Jerez you have probably heard of is called Flight Training Europe.
Once you've decided how and where you want to train, start to contact the schools, get some information, arrange visits etc.

p.s. It's unlikely that the quality of training facilities at your eventual chosen school will in anyway affect your desirability in the eyes of a potential employer. It will more likely be determined by your performance (which can be affected by the quality of instruction) and attitude during the course.

Thanks for the swift reply. I believe the integrated route is going to be the best route for me. I'm just struggling to get a good short list of top training locations together!
