Where to do a Type Rating?

Before you all shoot me down in flames, I am just curious as to what is the best type rating to get and with which company to get it with.

Any ideas??????

cheers

Concorde Type Ratings

Captain Trigger,

Affirm, I believe that airbus/BAE are doing very good rates on type ratings for concorde at the moment.

If you need any help in contacting them let me know!!

You would look good in an orange uniform

type rating

captain trigger - i dont know whether you have any experience or not? But having spoken to a few of the top people in some big airlines they all categorically say do not pay for you own type rating as airlines like to train their pilots on type there own way......

sorry to be zero help and to echo flyguy235's comments, but the best type rating is actually free...

Self respect and to see and wait for the bigger picture.

Well If Cap Trigger wants to do it fine, His/her choice + his/her life.
Quote "Self repect and to see and wait for the bigger picture", Unfortunately there are people who have been seeing and waiting for the bigger picture for years thus in effect putting them outta the race as they now have families or other situations that will not allow them instruct or await the call which they have been praying for and then the lucky minority who get the call get a free rating and then expect everyone else to do the same because it worked for them. Just like getting a rating is a gamble so is waiting for that golden ticket.
Best type to get? where or what you wanna do? Airlines/Bizjets?Europe/Asia etc etc as each would have various answers. Plus your present experience may be also a decisive factor. And then you must consider a type alone is not ideal unless you can get time on type through an agency/or scheme elsewhere.
But no matter what you decide rating or waiting there is no guarantee with any of it - You go make it hapen how you see fit.

The “best” rating my friend, is the one that will help you get a job. Do you know anybody in the industry that might help you? If you have a friend flying Fokker 50, then a F50 might be the best rating for you.

Hmm, wot about the ATR or Kingair?
Guys doing the ATR ratings seem to have a better time of finding employement!

A few pals of mine are flying in decent jobs now and getting a job with a Turbo prop type rating seems to be a bit easier however, Sandshrew is right, much better to have someone inside!
