Help... global type rating Dec 2nd
Not entirely sure if this is the correct place to post this but here goes.
I’m attending the global aviation type rating course on Dec 2nd. The accommodation I had arranged has fallen through and I’m a bit stuck. I was wandering is there anyone else who will be attending that is maybe looking to house share or even anyone that knows of any form of accommodation nearby. I’m running out of time any help would be much appreciated.

Are you speaking about the type rating offered by Global Training Aviation that gives you the TR and 50 hrs as flight student an 24 sectors in airline? If so, which is the airline to perform that sectors and that hours?

hey little bo
I know this doesnt answer your question but the post i put up to ask this went into a bit of a slagging match. Is there any chance you could give me a detailed description of what is involved in the global aviation solutions assessment as i`m due next week. I would appreciate your help very much.
thank you

hello little bo,
I don't understand the type rating course for global is done with bond aviation, and as I know bond aviation is not in burgess hill?
On wich aircraft, you will do the type rating?
By the way, you can try the Daisy lodge B&B, nice place to stay, friendly people...
P.S.: I can be wrong with my thinking, but that could be great if you can turn my light on
thank you

Flyingoli,
Your quite right I hold my hands up! I had Burgess Hill on the brain... I have now edited my original post. But accomodation anywhere in the sussex area would be fine.
I'll be doing the B737 rating.
In a bit of a rush but quick info on the assesment day. Too be honest there isn't much you can do in the way of preperation. The psychometric test is split into 2 parts. An abstract reasoning section (shapes) and a numerical test. The technical paper itself is relatively straight forward, no gotcha's and covers a litttle bit of everthing. Personality profile is just a case of picking the word that best describes you and there is no correct answere so don't worry about that. The sim assessment is great fun and they talk you through everything before you start so there are no surprises. Comprises of T/O, G/H then into the hold then radar vectors for an ILS. It took about 45min and I think what there looking for is the ability to show progress rather than a perfect flight. They are well aware of the fact that this may be your first time in a jet so don't worry if you make a mistake... I would have thought everyone does.

little bo,
thank you very much for answering my question and stating the different bits of the assessment day. few more questions if you dont mind?
how many questions in the numerical and abstract tests? are the quick fire mental arithmetic questions?
What type of questions are in the technical?
Did you do any prep for the sim ride like doing some time beforehand?
thanks very much for your time
