Air Atlantique Sponsorship

Hi all.

I've applied for CPL sponsorship with Air Atlantique and was wondering if anyone has got any hints or tips on passing the selection process, ie there aptitude tests!?

Anyone know who they use for the aptitude testing?
Any inside knowledge etc?

Cheers

Which aircraft would you likely fly? Also, where would your initial base likely be?

Have you just sent your application form in, or have you been invited for an interview? I sent my application form in about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet.

Where do you suggest I search for information, Daysleeper?

Thanx for your help. Appreciate it.

Sorry, i have overstepped the mark with that probing question.

I have been suitably repremanded by my mum.

Talking

I thought the first type ratings you got as a fugly was for the photocopier and grass cutter.

Joking aside all the fuglys I met worked hard and enjoyed themselves. Got to fly some great machines and were taught how to be pilots not machine managers.

I believe 1 fugly was age 21 when he got his LHS on multi crew pax aircraft. Not many places you can do that in the UK.

You could do alot worse than starting your career with Atlantic.

Red face Air Antique

I was chatting to an ex Air Antique bod the other day, his stories made my hair stand on end... and I have been around this industry for a while!

They are right at the bottom of the 'airline' heap, best advice is... aviod!

There are better opportunities out there, dont sell yourselves short!

Granted they can be heavy handed regarding their high standards required of their cadets, but I'd like to hear of a better opportunity than a 100% sponsorship to a Frozen ATPL.........

dont worry jim, although really you shouldn't ask a girl her age! I'm 22, so approaching the 'Past It' stage quite rapidly!

What link Daysleeper? I cannot spot iT!

Good point well made Catherine! How far are you through the selection process? What should I expect? Just got application form in!

Exclamation

It`s Air Atlantique (Not Air Antique) ! You must be confused, they`re at the TOP of the airline heap (much higher standards than any other airline), see quotes above ! They might have been viewed as a cowboy outfit years ago but they`re far from that now. They need higher standards because the flying involved is much more challenging and only the elite of pilots can ever fill a seat on one of Air Atlantique`s cockpits ! Other airlines such as BA have to take on the leftover pilots because the best pilots are now flying for the Air Atlantique Group and they wouldn`t want to fly for anybody else.

Pillock.

Standards must have slipped since I applied if you are representative of the current recruits. Or are you being frivolous?

Cheers

a short guide to searching pprune.

Top of page just under the K of network is the word search with a line under it. Click this with the left mouse button. when the new page displays enter Air Atlantique or Atlantic airlines or fugly or DC3 DC6 or Electra in the search terms. press return, humm quietly while the page saying please wait displays. DaDAh as if by magic a page of wisdom appears , read various topics ranging from cadet sponsorship to flight engineers. try to ignore to ones about 747's (thats virgin Atlantic) .

I am madame your humble servant.

For all those that have been told they are too old at 25, I would ring up and ask again. I believe they are widening the age range and the last guy they took on was 26!

Space-odyssey

You quote:

'other airlines such as BA have to take on the leftover pilots because the best pilots are now flying for the Air Atlantique Group'

'They're at the TOP of the airline heap (much higher standards than any other airline)'

How can you possibly write such utter rubbish? And even worse, do you really think that readers are stuipid enough to believe it?

Every posting you make seems like a PR excersise for air atlantique, if you loose your job with them you would make a great double glazing salesman/woman.
