So multiple posts by the same person using a variety of user names. Hmm, me thinks time for this thread to be shut down.

Out of interest, how have people been getting on with the interviews etc? Anyone got onto the scheme or has it been put on hold?

Sorry but who's digging the hole here? I believe Space_Odessey, principalskinner, supergirl or whoever he decides to be on the day has used the shovel and dug one of which he knows he cannot get out of!!!

Take the advice of others and get back to your sim!!

Oh and by the way....Space_Odessey is NOT from the great land of Oz!!!!

OK STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPP
Enough

this topic is about air atlantique sponsorships. It s not the sexy/oz/super girl and space odissey death match. The two last pages have been filled with messages of insults, and people changing their nicknames to create imaginary guys that would support their opignions. It s ridiculous and personaly I don t care about your little stories if they don t give us informations on air atlantique. Now please, if u wanna fight, do it via PM. I guess you wont do it because the entire point of your messages is to embarass someone else in front of all the ppruners.
Anyways, I asked a question about 5 pages ago to know how many times you can try the cadet selection. I would be very gratefull if someone could tell me the answer.

Please don't stop the banter - this post has been keeping me amused for ages....I can't wait to see the wee scouser's next incarnation!

ps to all female applicants to the fug scheme - misogyny is compulsory at AFT/Atlantic etc so be prepared for more of the same

I agree!!! Don't stop...this is great reading!!

Who is this guy, people seem to have a very good idea.
But, whoever he is he has been found out good and proper, no wonder he has deleted his posts, a bit too late by the looks of things though.

P!gssy.

It might be amusing but it is still off topic. This fight is going too far and the topic lost all of its sense. I am seriously considering air atlantique sponsorship, and so far I have read much more irrelevent posts than iformations.

Also, i seriously don t think that space odissey is the only one to use different nicknames. Some other people taking part in this fight are obviously doing the same.

Angel

Listen winchy boy, if I want to pose as a woman and stir things up that's my business...

Lighten up matey, this post lost all relevance ages ago. I'm surprised you're still checking it out. There's reams of info on the Fug scheme if you do a search. Better still, give them a buzz.

Winch Launch,

I suppose the answer to your question depends on how far you get in the selection process. I asked this very question to the guys at Air Atlantique myself, after unfortunately failing at the final hurdle - the interview.

I was advised that it wouldn't make a difference if I applied again or not because I passed all of the objective phases and only failed on the interview where I should just be myself, and this wouldn't change if I had another crack. I can see their point but as always with the benefit of hindsight - think that I would perform better if I had another go. But hey sh**t happens. I suppose if you fail at any of the other stages you have the possibility of improving, so trying again might be ok.

Just a point for all the ladies applying - you need to be able to put up with all the sexist comments in the world and then some. Females have been recruited on this scheme but none of them have ever stayed the duration. I would love and would still love to have been the first one to have done that but it wasn't to be.

Someone asked how the recent applicants are doing.

I was one of the folk who attended a "first phase" selection interview in December. I received a letter stating that I was through to the final application bit. They aren't sure when the interview will be. Perhaps around Jan/Feb time.

I had a good time on my visit to the Atlantique group. The people there were very friendly. The Fuglies who showed us around were a great bunch with a good sense of humour. Would love to work there myself. If not then it's back to truck driving and saving!

Regards, Bill

What are you talking about Space_Odessey??? Fell for what??? You were not winding anyone up at all, that's exactly how you think because all the "self promotion" you were doing was before Sexy even wrote on this thead..and the reason she wrote was because of the all CRAP you were coming out with.

You have since realised this and therefore deleted most posts. You seem to be a very young and naive little boy playing big men's games!! There is absolutely nothing about you in which to promote.

Yes, you are right...let's get back to the topic. But, could we please hear from people who really know what they are talking about with experience behind them and not from kids who probably have aircraft posters up on their bedroom wall!!!!!

Thanx a lot wingover 79.
And congrats to wireless for going through 1st stage .
Can anyone know when will the next 1st stage selection be?
Also, wireless, I am just curious to know how many other candidats were there with you during your 1st stage. Will you have any other selection stages after your interview?

Im I right in thinking that Air Atlantique offer sponsorship from zero level up to frozen ATPL, or do you have to have considerable hours first?

Cheers, Dunc.

Well, I did ask them how many more stages there were in the application process. I had a dream once of me aged 35, a broken man being invited to the 99th selection interview. Luckily I was told that the next bit is the last bit so either way I'll know wether I have been successful or wether to carry on with plan A.

There were 4 of us attending on the day I went. I think (conjecture here) there was a second set of applicants the day before numbering 4. Anyway, I'll post if I have another interview and I'll let you know how I found it etc.

Regards, Bill

Space sorry m8 but you have managed to come across as a right **** now. Multiple user names to try and prove apoint are ****.

And aviator humour is wasted on wannbies because they haven't been exposed to the low intelligence level of banter which is used on the line everyday. And I presume sitting on standby for most of the week will lower the intelligence factor down to single figure IQ level petty sharpish.

You are doing no favours for the fugly cadetship or the people who have worked hard to get them and pass onto line including yourself.

Your making the whole atlantic operation look gash and proberly stopping many of the type of aviator that altlantic would like shy away.

Go and get some of those special mags from the electra crews and read them instead of pprune.

Great thanks, not cool though naming someone elses company.

I said "coming across" not "you are"

Anyway good luck escaping Manston. I must admit it does my head in on standby. I much prefer flying.

You can take sexygirl with you too.

This is now a complete joke sexy - first it starts out with SO completely taking you for a ride - then you start complaining that we're straying away from the original subject!

You're hardly in a position to complain - you're becoming just as responsible for taking this subject away from its title as SO is.

Don't rise to it - like I said before (if you bothered to read it) - send SO a personal message and stop clogging up this forum with pointless jibes at someone who might have something useful to say.

It were proper "BO!" a tell thee!

It appears that like everyone else, I have too much spare time on my hands....(one of the joys of night freighting). Having joined Atlantic at the age of 24 in sept 97 with "The Bridge", my experience on the whole has been very positive. The Fuglie sponsorship scheme has changed from the one I survived. However the basic format remains..

Interview, serial killer check, sim ride and then the final interview which is usually to find out if they should subject the rest of the company to this Star/Arse (delete as applicable).

If you succeed, don't excpect an easy ride. At times it can be bloody hard work. Driving jobs, cutting lawns, washing A/C etc.. not forgeting the ATPL exams. On the positive side you get a lot of free flying, (F)ATPL and a few type ratings along the way without the hastle of 50 grand loan.

You could do a lot worse than Atlantic... they don't ask you for 25 grand towards a type rating.
When I went looking for my first break, I had no delusions of grandeur. I , like everyone else, just wanted to get on the first rung of the ladder.

These forum's are good for a laugh and a wind up! If you want the real low down, get your arse down to Coventry and talk to the horses mouth . After all you don't get if you don't ask!

Happy hunting
