Not type rated but the application form does ask if you would be prepared to fund your own rating.

I guess we have to go with the flow, so if I'm ever lucky enough to get that far then i'll cross that bridge then.

I'm currently minimal ME, 34 to be exact but I do have 2650 tt & a green licence cover, if thats any use.

you do however fly a BOEING though? FYI, a mate of mine who was offered a job at our lot decided to turn us down and join baby. He hates it, and admits he has made an expensive mistake.

Whilst our lot are not all that great, I think they may be better than BMI baby.

However it is EMA of course......

edited for spelling

Just a comment from a few posts back "Together with Easyjet sucking the market dry of 737 type rated guys" where does "Arrestahook" get his info from.
I know of at least 6 TR 737 F/O's WITH time on type who have applied to these companys (Ryanair & Easyjet) and have heard NOTHING.
That means to me, no time on type = NO CHANCE

PS "time on type" means Paid line Pilot F/O position.

You have to understand that not everyone with a rating and/or time on type will get a new position with another airline. Some people just do not meet the profile of the other 737 operator they are applying to. Airlines these days do not just employ someone because they have the rating, too many airlines have had their collective fingers burnt in the past! They now have a difinitive profile of what they think will fit into their corporate culture, and they stick to it.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it is the way things are going now. I am about to start with a 737 operator soon, no type rating, but I fit their profile. Most of my fellow recruits are in the same boat.

Good luck to your friends in anycase.
