I heard back on the 11th of November, I am one of those invited to the second stage. I am 24 years old with my ppl with a total of 60 hours. I have a degree in engineering. I am unaware of how the applications were reviewed. Maybe if all of us who got through to the second stage could post our flying qualifications and also educational qualifications, age etc. This may give an idea of what they are looking for.

Just read on the Pilot Sponsorship page of the CCAT website that they received in excess of 350 application forms for the scheme, and that 60 people have been invited to the stage 2 tests today!!!

Best of luck to all of us attending today!!!!

It's eeriely quietly on this thread ... considering a major cadet sponsorship is up for grabs ... no questions asking how people found the tests, no speculation about what the next round involves, no pleas for info from applicants from previous years, but most worryingly no 'has anyone heard anything yet'.

The tests were last Thursday, I know I am biting my nails and eagerly waiting on the post each morning!!

I was thinking the same thing mate! As they told us on thursday the results would go in the post on Monday. That means that someone must have got theirs today???

Thumbs down Flybe Stage 2

I went to Stage 2 last thursday. I rang them up on Tuesday but didn't get through! Got 75% in the tests and turns out the pass rate was 80%!! Gutted!!

Thought the Physics paper was orientated towards unrelevant A-level stuff, which was 4 years ago for me!! Maybe something aircraft related would have been better, and maybe some group activities, to get to know us!! Oh well, maybe I'm a bad loser!!

Good luck to all who got through!!

Alpha Charlie

Hope flybe went well for you.

I was supposed to be down on the friday 12th. I managed to get through selection with CTC Mcalpine on the 10th so asked nicely to be excused in the interests of extended celebrations. I hope to go to NZ in march to begin basic training.

Tell me what was involved and how it went, good luck to one and all.

Urghhhh ... what a huge relief ... Oh My God!!! Just got home from work to find a letter from Cabair waiting for me ... after waiting since last week for the results for the stage 3 tests and interview, I have been thinking of nothing else for the last couple for days, having successfully distracted myself and not thought about it much up until Wednesday morning (well not that often at least) ... it was a small envelope and all I could think was small envelope = bad news, large envelope = good news and more information about the next stage ...

Much to my relief, I got through ... I have been invited to the final interview with Flybe staff ... I am over the moon, I just have to keep reminding myself that I have not actually been accepted yet, its just an invitation to another stage, but I was so worried that I had made a mess of the pilapt tests ... god I am so relieved and happy ... such a good early xmas present ... well, best crack on with my preparation for the final interview ...

Please let me know how you got on if you were at Stage 3, I met some really great people and would love to find out how you all did.

My commiserations to those who didn't get invited back, I know I wouldn't have liked the job of trying to pick between us all.

Final question ... anyone know how many of us will be attending the final stage and are all the interviews carried out on the same day?

Smile

After several sleepless nights I got the letter today and I'm through to the final stage! Anyone else from the Friday group make it through?

My advice, for what it's worth is go Orange.

Coz thats where most of you will end up anyway 2 to 3 years later!
So do yourselves a favour and give yourselves a head start.

Stage three my @rse!!!! They'll be getting the Check in Girls to do a 146 Sim assement next!!
