Paying for it all???(consider thread closed)
I'm leaving school this year after finishing my A levels (Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Design,General studies; AS in Geography), I am exploring many careers mainly aviation based, (ATC, Engineering, piloting). I was wondering what sort of finance was available for students wishing to complete a CPL(H), with all hour building etc. I've heard talks about Career development loans, but I was wondering if there was an additional way of getting the money via bank loans which can be paid back at a later date. Hope you can help.
Also considering uni, but don't want to spend the money there when it could be spent on flying.
Thanks

Hi,
The forum can provide answers to many of your questions. They've been asked before, maybe in a slightly different format.
Anyway, I think I remember there being 4 ways to go in your position. Something along the lines of:
- Get sponsorship
- Get job and save up (my specialist area!).
- Get large loan from bank (such as pro studies loan, career development loan etc).
- Go to Uni and enjoy the booze, women whilst you think of something else! (oh, and pick up a bit of this life experience that's been floating around!).
If you do a spot of searching on the forum you'll be able to find information on the above in more detail, I've just basically listed them.
Hoe this helps, and good luck
