Folks I did this a long time ago. We were in a fairly descent compound in JED. All was well, but those were different times too.

Our overnights were in Cairo, Paris, London, Kano,Nigeria, Kuala Lumper, Jakarta etc. For 3 months we did this, then had a week or so off, were flown home then back for another 3 months. There were times that we stayed in JED for a few days waiting for our turn for flights. There were many carriers working for the Saudi's back then, I am sure you'll be faced by the same.

Advice, make sure you nail down every penny and wording in your contract. You do not was to hear "that was not the intent" of the contract talk down the road. Make sure there are no "make every effort" or "contractee may get free this or that". Eagle may not have a contract signed yet with the Saudi's. Buyer beware and be careful and good Luck.
PSl I had a great time doing this but again, different times.

My only doubts ar: will we be working 3 months in a row??? Or will we have a couple of days off every few days??? Is it legal to have 3 months off and 1 week off????

No Clue Tu Ki. When I did the Hadj contract and lived in JED, We had days off between flights at times. Shear boredom waiting for our companies turn for the flying. Then when it was out turn to fly it was fast and furious.
It's all a guessing game just how many airlines are involved this year and how many folks will be making the pilgrimage.

For Info, Any JAA company must have FTL's

I don't know theirs but,

1 day off in not more than 8
2 days off together in not more than 14
8 days in 28.

This is the minimum and not a target to aim at.

Fot the ones that have passed::

Some post before this, I wrote down what they informed me.

Now of course it depends, what they will say when tehy will offer you the contract.
If the terms of the contract are exactly what they've told us, should we accept it?
Is the basic salary good enough to live, buy stuff to eat, washing etc, or should we request €50 perdiem at base or out of base.
Our base can change every, I don't know how many months.. Imagine you are at a base, where you will do only return flights on the same day. You will receive €25 per flight but NO perdiem as there is no night stop. Can we live with our basic in compounds or hotels, buying food, washing etc, and have some money at the end of the month?

What shall we do when they offer the contract with the terms they have informed us.. If we all together come to a goos sence, they might change it..

Be carrefull what you are doing.Eagle aviation as someone told in the thread have very bad reputation in France in Djeddah and everywhere.Do you know that they didn't pay the salary for people for 3 month when they where based in Djeddah.I was among them :some engineers where working until their last day very hard without been paid. for 3month as well.As a cabin crew i can certify that they didn t gave me 3 month salary that i m still waiting.The compound where they used to be havent been paid sinces edges they owe them 1 milion usd.The conditions working where very hard no time limitation,they didn't care about regulation as french airline and under EU_OPS( french caa couldn t control as the base was Djeddah).That why now they recruting people from thailand and azerbadjian to be paid very small money.If you accept this salary as europeen citizen you will increase the bad things they used to do.Do you know that you are not free in Djeddah:they need to give you an exit letter to go outside the country .As i need to go back to my country urgently they refused to give me that exit letter and i contact the french ambassy who contact them and finally i got it.
Guys think before going there ask for 15 days off 8 days on as it used to be but be carrefull.They are lying a lot and many surprises you got when you are in the compagnie.

I have also been succesful.
I'm kind of excited by the operations, but certainly not by the fact of losing money. Either they change the basic, or they pay per diems every day in JED or anywhere else.... or both....
But i won't accept this offer if it is not changed.

We should ask to get per diems when in base.... but we all must say the same. Anybody has any new info??

Interview tomorrow for position in St Nazaire
 

I am not too impressed so far at Eagle Aviation by what I have read on here. I have a ground position interview tomorrow for their base in St Nazaire France.

The package seems good, and the base is there - would appreciate any more info if any one had any experience other than cabin / flight crew.

Shift patterns etc they say a 35 hour working week, but is that really likely?

I agree. Basic salary + sector pay + per diems only when away from JED does not seem enough.
We should all ask either permanent per diems, or other conditions (like duty time paid, or block hours paid, etc)

ballet, I got mine from an Irish airline. I have worked for a UK airline before too and when I graduated with them we got a cert but not an official Attestation. The irish airline didnt give me any cert when I graduated but they had this attestation on file anyway. I presume its a legal requirement, your UK airline must have some form of official certificate on file saying that you were initially trained as cabin crew with them.

Guys, can I just add, that ALL of you who are successful are EXPERIENCED flyers. Only desperate, inexperienced people would settle for terms like that. You guys deserve so much more, dont take a bad contract because you think theres no more flying work out there. There is plenty available if you wait for the right position. Dont sell yourselves out. If you give in to it, you're letting Eagle get away with it. And from what I gather alot of you are europeans whoa re used to a fair salary. Why on earth would you go away to 'prison' for even less money. If anything a contract like that should pay far more than your ordinary contract!

So guys.... are we getting paid in pounds, euros, or whatever saudi arabian money is???? will we need to open a bank account or they'll transfer money to any bank account in Europe???

don't think it's useful to open a local bank account for foreign currency
for your info : local currency is called riyal
