Question Basing a B767 in Europe

Hi All.
I would like to know a few things and Iam sure some will have the answers.
If I base a B767-200ER aircraft in Europe will I get some work for it on ACMI basis.
Aircraft is South African Reg, Airline is full IATA and IOSA certified.

Not required to reg in EU if operating ACMI for another Carrier.
This according to EASA.

Have you got somewhere in mind to base your aircraft? There is already a South African reg 767 operating from the UK with a VIP fit.

You'd have to face some competition in Europe : EuroAtlantic (also a 767 operator) and Hi Fly (12 A330/A340, a 310 and a 321), but as long as you can offer a low block-hour price, it shouldn't be that hard. But you'll have to create a good relationship with the main european brokers anyway, as a very large part of the ACMI market here goes thru them.

Anyway, PM me if you want me to compare your pricing with what is done by others (cannot provide data directly due to confidentiality agreement with my former employer), or if you're in need of a station manager in Europe

For any EU airline to take an ACMI from non-EU(EEC) operator would require authority approval and this will not be easy if not impossible in most EU countries. Also there has to be a good reason given when applying for such wet lease approval, which will be hard to find given EuroAtlantic and HiFly have aircraft available almost any day. Price difference will not be considered as valid reason. Read EC Regulation 1008/2008
