My poor Xenia, I am with you in those difficult times, and in the world of productivity,doing more with less, shareholders and customers requirements , etc... I am not surprised at such conditions.
In fact, if aviation is to follow maritime history, these are the maritime conditions 50 -60 years ago, the worst is still to come apparently, when thirld world countries and conditions are possibly going to replace us.
Now the good news :
These conditions were pioneered in the USA some 15 years ago, but all airlines that have implemented them went bust.
After a few incidents and/ or a mediatised crash, things like this tend to come on the surface and reason prevail.

I was recently told a story about RYR that I tend to believe but take it with a pinch of salt as I cannot confirm it from other sources.. It involve the sacking ( i.e fired on the spot) of a Capt and a F/O for having missed a dep slot and created a delay, after a discussion with another stand by crew..

Generally an competitive entreprise that treat his staff like do not last very long, or as to adapt very fast .

Avoid them if you can ( easy said when you have a secure job , I agree !)
