News???

Any news yet heard there should be something being said today Wednesday, and also heard that one of the Bidders was Channex (seems strange after getting rid of there F27's to then start up again with HS-748's.

Any update???

freightdoggy dog 28th June 2006 23:30

Why would it be strange?

Plenty of experience at Channel re Royal Mail/Cargo, and why would they want the 748 prop a/c anyway?

Maybe they are interested in other bits. We shall have to wait and see ....

P.S Does anyone know where that Dusty Miller chap went?

Yak97 29th June 2006 06:33

Channex/Jet2

Could Jet2 be interested in the hangar at BLK? (can u get a 737 in?).

Dusty left Emerald a while ago and went to European at BOH.

bacardi walla 29th June 2006 06:35

IB4138 30th June 2006 19:43

It will if you knock it down and build a new structure !...and it won't cost too much.

bartelby 30th June 2006 20:37

Might Jet2s interest be in the Emerald AOC? Can it be de-suspended?
Then they could split RML operations from Jet2. Perhap using some of the Emerald aircraft? :ok:

I think the only reason it would be knocked down would be for it to make way for a terminal extension or car parking.

greensleves 2nd July 2006 21:28

Money!!!

I got my cash yesterday ...drinks on me!!

straightnotlevel 3rd July 2006 07:40

wat cash was that greensleeves? are the cheques in the post?? full amount owed or minimum gov. payout??

greensleves 3rd July 2006 08:39

Was from the insolvency service...was wages owed and holiday pay owed..no notice pay as of yet...but they take 22% tax from you!!

cruiseczechs 3rd July 2006 08:51

Have been told will get money from the insolvency service within the next few days, but this is the minimum government payout, which they in turn will try and recover from the assets of Emerald. This only represents a fraction of what is owed, but I guess I'll have to stand in line with all the other creditors to see any more money from Emerald, I wont hold my breath.

Redundacy Payout

I've been advised that money will be paid out in about 4 days. Got letter over the weekend. Will deduct Tax AND National Insurance.

Don't forget to send in the form (not the pink one) to claim unpaid notice salary. This will have deducted any Job seekers allowance you should have claimed (tough if you ain't cause they deduct it anyway) or wages earned if you are fortunate to get re-employed in the interim!

Anyone know what the wooden posts are for that have being errected toward the back of the car park lining the engineers porta cabins?

Couple of company cars still there given the rust on the disc brakes plus the engineers vehicle.

Nobody has canx the milk either as it's creeping out of the bottle tops. Who should have canx'd that or do the administrators still have deliveries?

Any news of any buyers. All looks a bit sad with those aircraft impounded:{

All a bit final eh. Time to move on chaps.
