I can't quite work out why ACL wanted BAC: seems they were not after the AOC or the aircraft. Rumour has it they are going to operate the FedEx routes BAC did with ATR's. Sheds to be sold to the highest bidder.

Yep ,with fedEx you dont bid for a route ,you just buy the company operating it!
Don't think you get much money for the Irish Concorde and Friendship's.

And there was me thinking that ACL only wanted BAC for their superior quality management team!!

I hope the company pays for current pilots to be converted onto the ATR if thats the case. I am trying not to sound like a vulture here but I am freshly type rated on the ATR, does anyone think there will be any openings for in this latest amulgamation?

I see that BAC staff can also join in the the combined Acl Private Forums now as well.

Could be fun to see their side of yet again another airline merger.
