I do confirm what collegues are saying above. The icelandics are taking home, after tax, pension scheme paid and other benefits like loss of license etc etc, around 10.000 EUROS net and they fly the best routes. What about us, the vast majority... 9000 USD at the best and nothing else, in Jeddah!!!?... these numbers are worth around 27% of the value. Is time now to ask the company, all together, an increase of the salary just to be aligned with the icelandics.

Otherwise, we'll set up our own union and see if they want to fire all of us.

I think they do, Confair was recruiting for them, but you had to pay for the TR.

Stay away from Confair!!!

As a matter of fact, don't go there at all!!!!!!
max pay for a captain is $487 per day and if they don't need you, you'll be sitting at home on ULV.
For a new joiner, you're talking $155 per day, all included, don't be surprised to be sitting at home for 4 months in a row.....
This is their great invention, unpaid leave........ .
everything arranged for the pinguins, but as a contractor your f.cked.....
they even started not renewing peoples contracts because they asked for hour statements and letters of recomendarions, your hart is not with the company anymore............
Did I mention $50 per diem per day, no matter where you are in the world?????????? After lunch, you're finished, no matter where you are.
I can show you the contract, been there for many years, and the answer was: 'there is no future for you here'
Now WOW has gone bankrupt, a lot of these fine (?) pilots will go to Air Atlanta, pinguins first.............

Rotation / route's

Could anyone give some info/example how a rotation out of Jeddah might look like? (Destinations/layovers/duty time etc..)

ACMI so no such thing as an fixed schedule I get that but just wondering how it looks today.

Thanks,

PS. I am aware of the con's but I fly long enough to share that every job has it's disadvantages:rolleyes:

Hi all,
Anyone having passed their assessment recently
Any info on how long we can expect to remain Cruise Relief FO before Moving to FO?
What about salary as contractor? Still the same as mentioned above (2018)?
Thanks!

Dufo 3rd Oct 2019 11:51

1-2 years for upgrade from CR to FO. Min. 500 on type, then after assessment first available course (normally in late autumn).

I am a SFO in my late 30s. I have around 10000h, mostly A320, MD11 and B777. If they were hiring, is there a chance for a accelerated command?

BCFPilot 6th Aug 2021 13:50

Accelerated command used to be possible at AAI, but I would suggest you to ask this question during the initial online interview with one of the recruiters for more up to date information.
