Clx @ Pvg

I heard that one of the 400s nose kissed the tarmac last night. Apparently gear was cycled for troubleshooting :hmm:
I'm out of the loop this week. Can anyone add something? Is it still there?

Oh

Someone is gonna get smacked for that....

Hunter58 26th Jan 2006 06:59

Well, at least it makes it somewhat easier to get in and out...

Aircraft recognition course needed for the ground staff, maybe? (Although it is kind of hard to immagine how you can mix up an Antonov with a 747...)

Buster Hyman 26th Jan 2006 13:44

Hey, I also noticed a tail strut Ratty...rules changed have they???:E :ouch:

Kestrel_909 26th Jan 2006 14:08

It's LX-TCV I believe.

Out of interest, are all CLXs 744s RR powered?

ALLDAYDELI 26th Jan 2006 14:25

nope, not all. Some are GE Cf6

CR2 26th Jan 2006 16:06

Buster.

PVG airport rules, same as KMQ. Not allowed to operate without one.

LX-TCV, RR powered. Total 5 GE, 8 RR.

Buster Hyman 27th Jan 2006 01:28

Fair enough Ratty!:ok: Pity they aren't as strict at the other end of the airframe!

Update

Another month's worth of repairs...

Buster Hyman 15th Mar 2006 06:42

Still under warranty I hope!

What's the deal with the beams through the windows? Surely there isn't any load bearing capacity through the airframe there???

CR2 15th Mar 2006 07:35

I really have no idea mate. Anyone else have a clue?

CargoMatatu 15th Mar 2006 07:41

It looks scary to me!

Would love to know if it flies straight when this is all done. Used to fly on a Herk that had a rebuild and it never flew straight and level again:suspect:

Kestrel_909 15th Mar 2006 15:36

With one a/c out of service, are Cargolux doing any F1 charters this year? I think they had a fair share last year?

Buster Hyman 15th Mar 2006 20:02

Don't worry lads! I've asked the question on the Engineers forum about the windows.:ok: TBA...

CR2 16th Mar 2006 06:23

Kestrel: No F1 this year & nothing to do with the aircraft being out of service.

mach .86 16th Mar 2006 10:22

MAS cargo (AAI):ok: are flying most of the F1 charters

Eddie_Crane 16th Mar 2006 11:20

On a similar note to .. Kestrel's post:
anyone got any ideas who does MotoGP and World Superbike charters?
(I heard MAS for most of 2005 for MOtoGP...)

CR2 16th Mar 2006 11:23

The answer is : the cheapest...

Righto, cheers. Would have thought so.
Does this mean several carriers could be doing that in one season, or one particular carrier is appointed for the whole season?
CLX ever done MotoGP and/or Superbike charters?
