Thanks for the reply guys.

mach .86,
Do you mean MASkargo have most of of the flying for the 2006 season?

Buster Hyman 16th Mar 2006 20:44

I'm suprised they got it again. Their first attempt at bringing them to MEL was a disaster & ended up being over 24 hours late!!!

As Ratty says, price is the key to Bernies Empire too!

Atlanta-Driver 19th Mar 2006 00:22

F1

MASKargo does have bunch of the F1 flights. Don't know if they have an exclusive contract. Most flights operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic as MASKargo does not have their own aircraft at the moment unless the -400F has arrived.

WOW hope that they leave it that colour - It'll be one for the anoraks around the world. I was told today that Tango is due back on the 15th of April. I just hope that the management don't fire anymore of us poor souls or we'll be well short :ugh:

klink 30th Mar 2006 09:18

amazing what is possible..

CR2 13th Apr 2006 12:49

Heard today they tried to tow it out of the hangar without opening the doors properly. Horizontal stab pranged. More spare parts going out tonight. Ho hum.

:yuk:

luxfreight 13th Apr 2006 14:30

Is this aeroplane jinxed or what? It is supposed to be on a revnue flight back to Lux on the 17th. Do you think that'll slip?

Buster Hyman 13th Apr 2006 14:41

I bet some poor sod is being escorted back to his village...:ugh:

CR2 13th Apr 2006 15:09

Just got the pictures a few mins ago. We're sending spare parts out tonight on UCV.

It seems to be a damage to the vertical stabilizer.
The damage is visible on the first picture as a dark spot near the leading edge,
halfway between the logo and the upper edge of the stab.
I just hope it is just a job of replacing the skin...

CR2 14th Apr 2006 07:03

Yep, it was the vertical stab; I was initially mis-informed.

That plane is jinxed.

Atlanta-Driver 14th Apr 2006 07:35

Whatsa lil ding? We'll buy it :}

CR2 14th Apr 2006 12:13

To those of you familiar with LUX.... Remember that SP that stood here rotting for a couple of years, the one we dismantled? I'm told the tail fin leading edge was salvaged & sent out to PVG last night to repair TCV. Part number is supposedly identical. Could that be? Thought the SP's tail was taller than the rest

nitro rig driver 15th Apr 2006 13:40

CR2
your right-the sp vertical and horiz are 5ft longer but assuming its only the leading edge section they are replacing then maybe this is the same at this point in the leading edge.

Buster Hyman 16th Apr 2006 13:55

SP tails are very much taller Ratty, but as posted above, you wouldn't need the whole thing!:} :ouch: :suspect:

(I always thought the SP's were cool! Nuggety little buggers!:ok: )

Jungleland 16th Apr 2006 15:21

$ for the chinese

When is Tango back in business?

The maintenance-people in PVG seem to creat problem after problem. Maybe it's their businessidea?! For sure they must make some money by having a 744 they can work on around the clock?

At the same time CV's loosing a lot of money. It's a tuff world.

acmi48 16th Apr 2006 17:59

lxtcv is sked to dep pvg 17apr1555z return pvg to lux
fingers crossed for a safe return to service..painting of various bits will be done at next 'c' check..
