Question Dash 8 freighters ?

Are there any operators out there using Dash 8's as freighters?

I can't imagine there's much use for them as capacity is limited and range even more so. With the distances we're talking about here it would be far more efficient to ship by truck. In the US the regional air freight concept is dead because trucks are more efficient.

.....different in Europe, however. There are many routes where road freight is more cost effective, but there will always be a need for airfreight, no matter how much is shipped by surface.

Even aircraft as small as a Metro have been converted and regularly fly parcels about....

There's a lot of islands here!
