That is the same as the regular -400. I was referring to the 'LCF' delivery Aircraft with the much enlarged fuselage.

External Electric & Ground Air Cart for engine starts, just like the good old days on the 707, Electra, etc. After a while you don't miss it.

Sorry without being too ignorant been retired 6 years now, antbody have a picture of this 400, flew Classic's as a F/E. My son a 2,000hr pilot has a model of a 747 Dream Lifter (same) aircraft. Has 40 + different model aircraft on shelves in his room. Where are the days of playboy pics. In my day not allowed.

Empty weight for the regular 744 freighter is way off. It's generally in the 157-160T range.

Currently three aircraft dedicated to Boeing work with the fourth to be delivered next month (Feb). Boeing has resisted all offers to do any other work or to sell them commercially. Lots of great pictures are on Flickr.com, just do a search for Dreamlifter.

It's main purpose is to fly the freshly baked 787 fuscelages to the main assy plant. I believe airliners.net has pictures of this. Really cool, look fwd just behind the entry door and you see an outflow valve and pprov's, not much pressurization demand here, probably fly's just fine on one pack.
