Part of the job description is "Balancing safety, customer needs and economic variables." Sounds like a fun tightrope to walk.

Saw the ad in local newspaper here. Their requirements are pretty high for FO's, 3000TT of which 2000 Jet hours and 1000 in L382.

I heard from a U.K based recruitment agency (I think) that there was a Sudan hub that suited there operation schedule, and pilots were spending up to 3 months there?

I have seen them in Geneina (HSGN) and Nyala (HSNN) recently with L-382 A/C seem to have some kind of contract with Arab nations serving their brothers here in Sudan. Crew were mix of DXB nationals and ex SAFAIR Crew. As far as I know they route DXB - KRT (Night Stop) - DARFUR

747loadie, yes, they are looking for loadies, on the airbus as well as on the C-130

Wings of Fury- I think you must have heard wrong then. All crews do two weeks tour in Sudan (Khartoum)

Yeah Jacobest, that sounds more like it,

UN-Coordinated, is it just the L-382 you have seen in KRT? Has the A300-600 also been there? I would like to know what routes the Airbus does?

Not very many at the moment, the A300 has been sat outside the maintenance hangar at ADD since the change of regisration from TF- to A6- for at least five weeks to my knowledge.

Spoke briefly with a recruiter today. He is suppose to be forwarding more info tomorrow. I meet the FO requirements. I am more interested in what the general thoughts are about this company? Are they in for the long haul? Or will they be gone in a few short years? I was quoted a very good salary plus housing and school allowances.

As to the above... are you saying the crews spend two weeks in the Sudan and then rotate back to Doha?
