UPS DC8 off the runway at YHM
Any confirmed reports of a UPS DC8 off the runway at YHM today?
Was this a poor weather incident? ie snow/slush or too fast
on the landing?

If this is the incident I'm thinking of then the chain of events was precipitated by the surprise discovery of empty fuel at just the wrong moment of T/O...curious story, I heard 3rd hand, would like to hear the real details.

More like the rumour mill gone crazy....again.
"The United Parcel Service Co. Douglas DC-8-70 aircraft (operating as flight UPS476) was completing a scheduled IFR flight from Louisville International Airport-Standiford Field, KY (U.S.A.) (KSDF) to Hamilton (JCMIA) (CYHM). The aircraft landed on runway 12 and the flight crew were instructed to taxi across runway 06 before turning around for taxi due to an aircraft in position on runway 06 awaiting departure and another aircraft blocking taxiway CHARLIE. UPS476 was unable to turn around in the turning bay due to the slippery conditions and required a tow. Runway 30 was closed until the aircraft was removed at 1450Z. Ops. impact -- one (1) arriving aircraft (CJT1575) was diverted to Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ) and several other arrivals and departures were delayed.
