Question Question for uk crews.....?

What are the chances of coming and spending a shift with a uk based freight crew to see what its all about.? Taking my PPL now but am unsure what to do after that. Is there a different attitude to jumpseats with freight compared to commercial.? Any info appreciated, thanks.

Yes there is, we're much more laid back then those pax guys. Most cargo carriers don't make too much fuss about taking a jumpseater, they usually leave it up to the crew.

Thumbs up

Regarding your question about jumpseaters, I work for a UK cargo outfit, and we use j/seats from EAT/DHL all the time. We've never had any probs getting on except on a Friday night when their own crews take up the room on board. Other than that you shouldn't have any probs as long as you have good id.

Keep up the good work Pprune.!!
