Angry Cargo Airlines: another one bites the dust...

After the collapse of Cargo Lion just recently, it seems that another one bites the dust. According to newspapers dutch A300 cargo airline Schreiner Air Cargo will cease all operations with it's freighters. The dutch labour union CNV said up to seventy people could be looking at unemployment, forty flightcrew and thirty ground crew.

It seems Farnair, who are flying for DHL, are in dire straits as well...

And they say Cargo is booming...

That is true, the market is growing.... over the next 20 years that is!

Right now the market is flat! The US economy struggles are shadowing the market big time.

Too right H58. Expected to be so for the next 3 months or so. I hear Atlas have 12 747s sitting on the ground.

Freight market seems a bit thin for the moment. General hiccup due to US/Japanese economies slowing down. I think its affecting everyone.

Well some are growing bigger.
Cargolux is adding one 747-400 in Aug. And another one next year. They are constantly looking for pilots as far as I know.

Yup Ice,
2 more to come & then we'll see. One of the reasons (if not the reason) why the CEO "resigned" was his expansion plans. The general idea was 25 744F in the next few years. Worried a few people.
