Arrow DC10F in Managua, Brazil
04 JUN 2006 Arrow Air DC-10 runway overrun at Managua
An Arrow Air DC-10 (N68047) overran the runway on landing at Managua, Nicaragua. The aircraft operated on a cargo flight from Miami (MIA). The DC-10 overran by approx. 350 m, coming to rest with its nosegear collapsed. A left wing fuel leak was quickly contained by the fire services. (El Nuevo Diario)
Also appears a write-off. No idea on injuries.

Is there a chance they can get this bird in the air again? Doesnt appear to be any major fuselage damage. Granted they will have to change the engines and flush the electrical systems from the mud but it looks like it could be
flyable again?

We had a DC10-30 overun YVR on an RTO years ago. Superficially - similar damage. Got it unstuck and back to the hangar. Got the Douglas RAMs team up from Long Beach and although it took 4 or 5 months, she flew again.

, but as far as I know Managua is the capital of Nicaragua and is not located in Brazil as Atlast title says.
