Why would anyone (particularly South Africans) come to CX, I wonder?
Singapore Airlines staff to get nearly 8 months of bonus after record profit

Kinda puts things in perspective (again)...

The CX board cut their operating costs to bare minimum in order to ensure viability of the airline in an event of a sale or another global issue.

Of course they’ll get rewarded.

So by that logic, the increase should be offered regardless of profitability.

Some of the Directors were not in the roles during the pandemic, so what is the reason for the increase?

Yep, it’s about being a prince. Reward for talent retention I think is the term…it’s getting costly keeping gweilos in China nowadays.

Im not knocking your comment. They took the gamble and now they’re paying for it (flight cancellations, lack of front line staff etc..). Just like the Boeing CEO.

Because of the gamble taken during the pandemic, although these are not the same people, but they are in the right place at the right time for bonuses

Pointless banging your head against the wall.

There are posters on here that still think CX is the winner. There’s even some that think China & Hk Is a good bet for their future. I know, I know…

The economists, (free) journalists and stock market can’t all be right, can they?
