My favorite is how RH glosses over fuel hedges like they’re just a normal part of fuel expenditures. I want to know exactly how many billions they have lost over the last 4 years. By my count, it is well over 3, but not quite 4, billion USD. Their transformation program looks rather insignificant compared to those large numbers. NC, you there? Do you know the number?

OK, true, the real problems are still being denied. However, 2000HKD might not be much to you rich folk but it is a nice gesture and will be gladly received by most in the Company. Stop proving yourselves to be so bloody non empathetic.

Don't twist this. No one is saying that HKD 2000 means nothing. People are offended because the company has reformulated profit sharing so that no employee will ever receive anything more than a "token" amount regardless of the earnings report. Sure, every bit helps, but it should be a he!! of a lot more than 2000 HKD. I bet your bottom Hong Kong dollar that upper management get a lot more than HKD 2000.

And in today's SCMP, an article stating that about 75% of employees in Hong Kong are anticipating bonuses of between 1-2 months salary. Though this is an improvement on the last profit share we got of about HKD900. Things are on the up!! All down to superb leadership, of course.

Snowflake Alert
Someone give directions to abaderrr as "it" is triggered and can't find the #SafePlace" designated to those who don't like others having a better and more rewarding life or career and who actually consider and put a value on their "worth" and contribution.

A friend of mine at Delta made $480,000.00 hkd profit share. CX will always screw their staff for the managements benefits. That is something that will never change. If you want a career of such frustration, keep banging your head against the same wall year after year.

It’s so good to see that they are finally willing to address monetary issues. After all the announcements and letters about employees needing to “feel respected” and “feel heard” they must have realized that, after all, that is not what it is going to take to turn this utterly degraded morale amongst the pilot group around, or stem the ever ebbing tide of pilots leaving Cathay around. They finally recognized we don’t work for the love of the job, although we love our job (two vastly different statements), but we work to live. And that requires remuneration.
We require money. Compensation. Remuneration. Back pay for HKPA, for lack of inflationary adjustments for over 3 years. The stiffed 13th month. And more!
It’s so good to finally see all those addressed with this profit “sharing.”
Now we can come out of CC and we’re one big happy family.

The following is all in HKD:
Air NZ gave a bonus of $9,660 on 2bn profit
Delta gave $125,596 on 10.2 bn profit
American gave a bonus of 1.4% of base pay
United gave a bonus of 4% of base pay
CX gave $2000 on $2.3bn
So the AirNZ bonus was about 5 X larger than ours and they don't even have a profit sharing scheme. Delta bonus was 14 X larger than ours.
Little wonder aircrew think of this payment as a joke.

It's pretty simple.
If you don't like it, if it's not suitable for you, then leave.
There is an infinite amount of whinging from about a dozen people on here - yet none of you do anything about it.
Take the bull by the horns and resign - move on to better things!

Delta 2019 profit share 14% of total earnings.
Just a minor correction 😜
