Now is the time
CX crews talking about strike action
F/A 's want a minimum of 3.5% pay increase
Now that HKA has morphed into a long haul carrier with A350 to Boot.
HKG Express directors apologising in front of Legco.
NOW is the time that all those dissatisfied HKA crews to put a case forward to improve their COS.
You will never have another chance like this.............................

From what i'm being told, this will be the modern day equivalent of the Shanghai flu. Hopefully the traveling public is being prudent and cautious in their holiday travel planning. And I mean right through CNY.

I had a dream last night that I was a fly on the wall in Flight Dispatch some day in the not too distant future. AT was down there with her FOP managers trying to scrape together crews to operate flights. Her problem was that although the spikey hair brigade had turned up the room was empty of captains and senior first officers.
My dream then jumps to the LEGCO chamber where AT and RH are having to explain to the government why CX had stopped operating flights and asking that the inevitable suspension of it's AOC be lifted.
Was it a dream ?

HKG Govt and CAD cannot afford discontent in both camps at the same time and be seen as a repressive regime towards aviation considering they want to promote the third runway as a major world HUB.

Deadcut. You are sadly correct as it applies to previous events. However (and cynically I will confess) this time is different. Now, those same Captains/Fo's are seeing their very lifestyles affected by the housing threat, not to mention the other cuts mooted. That will ensure that many more take this situation very seriously, and very personally. I believe they will be expressing their displeasure with the company over the holiday season. Not to mention that a significant number of C&T members are planning on resigning if the cuts are implemented. AT and RH and DP can run around in circles in dispatch trying to cobble crews together....should be fun to watch. Will definitely be enjoyable seeing them hauled before Legco and the press to explain why they let the airline fall apart with their attack on their aircrew. Stick together, take your individual actions at the appropriate time. Collectively we will bring this airline to a grinding halt.
I had a few Skol beers from 7/11 in the DB plaza with a370. He said he's happy with his captain's package sitting below a CX/KA expat F/O.

Industry SLF here.
Something's definitely happening.
Colleagues receiving large flight delays back to HK in the next few days; being smsed several days in advance.
My regular 156 on this coming Monday has mysteriously vaporized with MP Club unable to explain why.

SOs on Peng Chau
a370 is doing well Gnadenburg if he can afford the Skol; or did you have to buy it for him? I hear some CX SOs are now living on Peng Chau and can only afford the really cheap stuff, two cans for $5.50 from the Wellcome there.
