Time to Win - "B" Scale Doctors

It seems in the fray to cut cut cut that other departments are at work with a scalpel as well.
I don't know how many of you received a notice that your "medical specialist" has been "terminated" from the CPA Specialist Panel. (Their words)
Well, last week I went to see my specialist who has been monitoring my condition for many many years and she only found out a week before that. No calls from QH, no requests for a meeting, no query re to negotiate.. Just, your removed and no reason given.
When I asked why she indicated that no reason was offered and that she was not the only "Specialist" sacked from the board - there were others, also no reason given...
When I asked for a referral, they don't even know who is on the board ??

So, I'll leave you to develop your own thoughts as to why this has happened and I'll bet 100% of you will come to the same conclusion as I..
With that don't forget that those in charge of this process (DP, DFO, HoOH) likely all get their cut (vig) at the end of year related to how much they can slash and it now appears even Health Care can be farmed out B scale style.
Makes you feel warm and cozy doesn't it..
In addition, I don't know how many I have talked to that have looked into the cost of the drugs (negotiated by CX) with our Health Care provider and purchased at the clinics pharmacy where the cost charged is "ASTRONOMICALLY" higher that can be purchased elsewhere in the world.. Look into it.. They know and do nothing..

Amongst many other solid reasons for leaving CX, this particularly cynical attempt at 'cost cutting' should push everyone over the line. It's one thing to try and mess about with your rostering, housing, allowances etc. It's quite another to make a change that puts your health and that of your family at risk. No reputable employer should even think of a step like this. All major airlines in the first world realise they have a responsibility towards the health and welfare of their employees. CX obviously feels that they can ignore this aspect of common employment conditions, just like every other aspect of decency and fair play. Don't put you and your families health at risk, especially not stuck in a place like HK, where questionable medical staff are now the face of CX medical. Like everything else about the job here now, it's not worth staying for. Make a move to a decent, career airline, where you can live at home, raise your families in health and peace. This job is not worth seeing a family member become sick, and then find that CX throws you to the wolves in paying for the exorbitant bill that will result. There are better jobs and better careers just about everywhere else now.
