It's probably wise not to listen to or trust anybody whose modus operandi is to rattle cages and sprout "expectation management" slogans.

Just the same old management tricks pandered by some contemptible underlings.

GFC, SARS, Asian Currency Crisis when CX was flying 747s around with 80 pax. Any of you geniuses spot the underlying difference this time?

True, hedging was a stuff up and that put the airline on the back foot. However have you noticed that, due in part to low fuel costs, the LCCs have expanded rapidly and are nibbling at our heals? Does anyone think they will go away? If we bury our heads in the sand we will end up like Pan Am. My point was we should have grabbed what was on offer this year because it ain't going to get better from here on in.

We, HKPA pilots, should have grabbed what was on the table while the rest of you pay for it with a set of crap RPs and a clause 7 allowing no leverage with the new CMP system.
Is that what you meant?

Come on. Show our managers you're worth more than that. Your goodwill and career invested in the company are worth more than the meager raise in HKPA they were offering.

How's our leverage doing so far? How many $ has it cost all our pilots with no HKPA rise for years and no pay rise this year for anyone? Real dollars lost by all. We think the HK landlords stupid and greedy for leaving an apartment empty for years as they are not prepared to accept the current market rent but demand more because they are delusional about its worth....

PS I doubt that you would have ever read the RP and understood how they mesh in with our COS, the AFTLS, CAP371, and the roster

Ipad,

You'd be burying your head in the sand if you accepted what the company offers.

And your beloved TA would have contained a certain clause that would have stopped you going into CC when the company wants to stick the pineapple into another orifice....

hmmmm, real cash in the back pocket of every pilot, vs planning for doomsday....

Clause 7 vs the majority of the RPs in our COS? You have only been here for 5 minutes if you do not know how long and hard we have fought for this holy grail.
