Vote for Rod
I dont understand why they don't just put an SO on some of those perth flights, I know plenty of SOs on the 330 who are only scheduled for 40 credit hours plus reserve. Why not just put one on and there will still be no risk in triggering overtime and mitigates fatigue

Reading the AOA forums it's clearly obvious that Rod understands the big picture and has the best handle on what's going on. I don't agree with the direction we are going in at the moment but Rod is the best option of all Chairman nominees.
TFR36,
Do you work at CX?
Here is the reason - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETxmCCsMoD0
The Perth flight has been a problem for decades. Rumor was that a while back a lot of Perth based pilots put in ASR-Fs hoping for CX to put on the 3rd pilot (QF used to do this flight 3 crew). Subsequently the company approached the Perth crew and indicated that they might have to close the base due to fatigue reasons and miraculously the ASR-Fs stopped.
The 3rd pilot costs HDP, HOTAC and allowances - unfortunately $$$ is the only thing they care about!!!

More and more facts are coming out how bad RF is for the HKAOA and what games he is playing. He is an absolute control freak and tries to micro-manage/manipulate everything and everyone (including his own GC). If he gets re-elected things will get worse not better with no hope of finding common ground with management. If you want to stay in CC and TB indefinite go ahead and vote for him. The result of Clause 7 was all his doing. If he really wants the best for the pilot group he should remove himself from the election.

At least the company has nothing on RF
Certain member of the GC has had an alcohol problem and subsequently was allowed to keep his job by the company for some unstipulated conditions....
Guess who's most vocal against RF when company wants a change in leadership.
Coincidence? I think not!

The company want a new chairperson simply because the current one is too effective!
Don't all you spineless and anonymous bloggers appreciate the fact that RF is willing to put his head in the firing line so that you don't have to?
Stay the course, the company should not dictate who leads the HKAOA.
As for the bickering here and on the other forum, the company must be loving it! We don't get to see the management infighting/pressures online, so why should we air our dirty laundry?

RF has ably represented the best interests of the membership. He has confronted AT and insisted on a proper agreement. The FACT that AT is stating that she will wait for the new committee and hopefully Chairman is the ONLY reason any of us need to cast our vote for RF. CX want someone more pliable and less focused on the necessity for an equitable agreement. I may not agree with all of RF's comments on the issues at hand, but I sure as heck feel he is the best leadership we can have in place to push back against this absolutely corrupted management. Vote for RF and let's show this management that our rejection of their original TA was based on principle, and it's a principle we won't just cast aside because we want an agreement. I want an agreement, but not at any cost.

A vote for RF is a vote for the status quo. He had his chance to reach an acceptable agreement and failed. It is that simple. The reports of distrust between RF and the GC and NC are true. Nobody wants to work with him, including other TUs and the Company. You may be deceived into thinking that is a good thing because he is looking out for us in HK, but nothing could be further from the truth. RF is a unity killer! He has turned many of his most loyal supporters against him in less than two years. Don't believe me? Go ask them.

"simples"..... good grief. I seem to recall that one of the candidates basically surrendered on our level of pay and benefits before even getting elected. RF is the only man of principle who I feel will have the strength of character to stand up to what is becoming an historically destructive management team. RF didn't "cause" the failed TA. The company's woefully inadequate offer is what caused it's failure. It is important that we back up our 'NO' vote with a further re-election of the leader who represented that vote. Otherwise we only undermine our own hard won position and collective resolve. Simple test: which outcome of this election do you think would most upset AT? Now you know who to vote for.

That person has done so much for so many people behind the scenes on the welfare front. I am disgusted with you for impugning his character. If he publicly supported whatever your viewpoint is, would you still feel so inclined to denigrate his character?

supercadet said "I would do anything for any member of the AOA"
Can you do something for this AOA member?
Step down from the GC, never go anywhere near a negotiating table on behalf of me again so we never see such a rubbish RP presented and recommended again.
Thanks in advance. Great to have such a team player
