I think he is saying that the KA boys don't have any stones. I have long thought CX takes the cake on that claim.

Why can't we do a rolling sickout in lieu of a strike???

This whole scenario is turning into one of those hostage films gone wrong.

CC and TB being held. Negotiations fail. Time drags on. Internal bickering grows. Leadership is challenged. Acceptable outcomes debated. Fear sets in.

All the while a SWAT team is preparing to move and rescue the hostages. Casualties expected.

I can hear the bravado from the EGMs of 2000, "we've got them now, they'll give us everything we want"

Of course they will. Just ask any 60 yr old in the company how often historically the company comes back and sweetens the deal after it's been rejected.
So I guess we should all have voted for another reduction in our CoS, our lifestyle and our health then. Great thinking....

I also recall the bravado from 2001. And then our union shrunk by half as members left rather than pay higher fees. We lost.

The purpose of that amendment is to prevent P2X hours from counting towards the requirements for DEFO, thus preventing most SOs from having a claim with regard to being wrongfully bypassed for promotion.

Well it won't be the boat shed, despite the rumours we can't crew what we have. Join now & command prospects appear within 18 months, we are at the borrom of the seniority list for commanders. F/O today with a BA777 DEFO course next month, the experience levels are dwindling.

What did you expect? "Oh pilots, we're sooooo sorry we didn't value you enough and tried to scam you with all kinds of hidden meanings and loopholes and tricks again. We want to move forward together and show you that you can trust us, as we appreciate you so much and need you even more than ever. We'll quintuple the bogus HKPA we tried to fool you with, and then we'll spend money fixing all of the many rostering problems, give pilots way more say in rostering and hotels and transport and we'll fix the ridiculous type transfer non-existence, plus we'll hire lots more pilots so nobody is fatigued ever, we'll give you all the leave we owe you and always give you all your leave every year, and we'll pay you every time we disrupt your roster and also when we don't follow the rostering rules, which will no longer include any of the 400 loopholes that make them 100% flexible but only for us, well, before, now they will be rigid and fair to both sides, and if we ever force you to work on a G day down route, we'll give you 2 extra G days in return plus G day callout pay at quadruple the current rate, and we'll just give you everything you want right now, like getting rid of holding pilots financially liable for our interpretation of industrial action, and our definition of force majeure will change to the actual definition so we can't just make things up every time it rains. Have the AOA send us a list and we'll just take care of that for you. You are amazing!"
I can't say I'm expecting it, but it'd be nice if it were to happen
