A long time ago in a universe far far away I remember an ancient AvMed Officer showing us a film of what had happened to a Navigator's O2 mask when the oxygen from his oxygen mask had come into contact with some Vaseline he had on his lip (due either to a cold sore or the necessity for promotion...).
Perhaps the same sort of reaction might be expected from the constituents of hair gel and neat O2... giving a whole new meaning to 'flying like his hair was on fire...'
