Why not? Cooking would be more interesting than airline flying, it may be more financially rewarding if he is any good at it and it would provide a great lifestyle at that country pub.

@Mill Worker, depends from person to person really. What is of interest to someone is high subjective and nowhere near objective.

Fu*k it, good on him.

Everyone bitches on this forum about wanting to leave, here's someone doing it because of something they really want to do. How many of us put on hold our dreams of being an adult movie producer or farmer etc etc and then woke up one morning in Hong Kong aged 50.

One life, live it.

Well I think it's great to have the courage of your convictions and go for what you want.
Top guy too, was always a great guy to fly with.

Yep, a great guy. Great enough to enter into training during the 'please don't' period i.e. about a month before the training ban.

What he's doing on MasterChef is fantastic, without question. What he did when he entered training was not, however, fantastic!

Roster says he's got indefinite leave, don't think he's resigned.

Perhaps worth revisiting?

I've only seen the show once or twice when I've been home and he comes across as a lovely guy, always smiling. Hope he does well throughout the show
